Our Mission:

Acclaro is dedicated to improving the lives of our patients by providing remarkable and compassionate eye care.

Normal Vision - Emmetropia

Normal vision, called emmetropia, exists when distant light focuses clearly on a single point on the retina.

“In order to see something, the eye needs to focus light reflecting off that object onto the retina. Light from an object a long way off actually takes less focusing power than light from something closer. The increased power that the eye uses to see something up close is called accommodation.”

Acclaro helps its patients understand normal vision – or emmetropia – and how normal vision differs from their eye condition. Additionally, Acclaro helps its patients understand the treatment options available to help correct the eye conditions they might be experiencing.

Please feel free to go to the Contact Us page to ask a question about emmetropia. You may call us or send an email.
